Portland Farmers' Market:  Volunteers are esstential to our goal of supporting locally grown and prepared foods by maintaining markets and by educating the public on the importance of buying local.

Growing Gardens:  Growing Gardens gets at the root of hunger. We organize hundreds of volunteers to build organic, raised bed vegetable gardens in backyards, front yards, side yards and even on balconies.

Networking Opportunities:

InFARMation (and Beer!) hosted by Friends of Family Farmers happens every 2nd TUESDAY of each month (5:30 - 8:30) at Holocene, located at 1001 SE Morrison (map). This is an opportunity to bring the issues that Oregon family farmers face onto the radar of urban consumers, and the community in general.  The topic changes each month, but always focuses on the larger picture of the connection between food and farms in our state.  When eaters connect with farmers, it makes our food web stronger and real changes in our local food system are possible.InFARMation (and Beer!) is always free and open to the public, but our current location is 21 & over only, so unfortunately no kids and don’t forget your ID.
